A chance to take part in this world famous tomato throwing festival! We promise that you will get covered in tomatoes!! But, what fun you will have! We aim to arrive at approx 9.00 am so that you can experience the build up , which is great fun. At 10am a ham is placed on a large greased pole and the tomato fight can only begin when somebody manages to climb up to the top and bring it down. You can even try yourself!! Then, the tomato throwing begins when a cannon is fired and 6 trucks carrying 150 tonnes of tomatoes arrive. And then, it’s every man for himself!

Algemesi & Albufera- Jewels of Valencia

 

 

 

Algemesi

This will be a day to remember! Spend the morning in Algemesi where you can witness one of the most beautiful, colourful parades in this area, with traditional music and dances. It’s an incredible sight to see people forming human pyramids! It’s a festival that originated in 1247 , dedicated to the patron saint of Algemesi and has a UNESCO award.

We arrive at 9.30 am and then will pick you up again at 1.30 to take you to another fabulous place- Albufera. The home of Paella! We will arrive at El Palmar at 2pm, where you have free time ,if you want to have a spot of lunch or to explore.

And then at 4pm , you will take a lazy boat ride across the Albufera lagoon , which is a nature reserve, famous for its birdlife. A relaxing way to finish off a lovely day visting 2 jewels of the Valencia region.

Ayora Honey Festival and Valley del Jucar River Cruise

This will be a day to remember! Spend the morning in the pretty town of Ayora, complete with castle,  during it’s famous Honey Festival.The streets are alive with food tastings and demonstrations , music and local wine and food producers trying to tempt you.  Yum Yum!

Xativa at Christmas with it’s Famous Living Nativity Scene

A great time to visit the historal town of Xativa, complete with Borja Palaces and it’s magnificent fortress of a castle. It also has a good array of independant shops. Every December, Xativa constructs the largest living nativity scene in Spain , with live animals and figurines made by Fallas artists . It’s a great time to explore Xativa and you will have time to visit the castle and have a spot of lunch. We aim to arrive at 11 am and pick you up again at  4.30pm .

    We went for a day trip to Valencia with bus 2 and had a great time, Valencia is a fantastic place and we enjoyed every minute of it we had never been before but will be going back. Bus 2 was great 2 and we would recommend this trip, this was the highlight of our holiday and can't wait to return again in October.
